Home Staging Before and After

I recently staged this charming home in Markham. Clients invested in a few key updates to the home and upon the advise of a real estate agent brought me in for a home staging consultation. The clients were almost there in terms of providing a neutral backdrop for staging. A couple more rooms were painted upon my direction and then I put together a staging plan to appeal to the potential buyer.

The living room at the front of the house had amazing light from those floor to ceiling windows. Not only does furniture and decor add life and style to the space but they act as place holders for how the furniture fits. Buyers can now envision their own pieces and how they will live in the space. Perhaps even inspiration for how they will decorate once they move in. Emotional connection to the space is the goal.

I’ve said it a million times, paint is the best ROI (return on investment) when selling! The freshly staged master bedroom now looks tranquil and stylish. Also, showing how much space is essential in the master. How else are buyers to know if their beds will fit ? Don’t leave it to their imaginations, it won’t be good!

This room was fun! The bedrooms were split between 2 levels. This room was right next to the master and on the top floor so I decided to make it into a dressing room for the lady of the house. I wanted to create a definitive feminine space with personality. I wouldn’t necessarily do this for every house but this house wasn’t cookie cutter, it had its own vibe. We considered the option of turning it into an office but frankly, this is going to be more memorable for buyers. I needed this to stand out in their minds. I love when clients and real estate agents trust my vision!
